How We Do It

We source furniture from all over the globe and work with our partners to distribute resources to those in need, all while tracking our efforts so we can share our work with full transparency.
Step 1
To donate furniture to Global Furniture Foundation, first gather all the furniture items you wish to donate and ensure they are in good condition. Then, contact the foundation to schedule a donation pickup or drop-off. Provide us with necessary information such as your location and availability. Then follow our instructions, complete any required paperwork, and prepare the furniture for donation as instructed.
Step 2
Provide details about the furniture items, such as the type of furniture, its dimensions, and any special features. This will help us determine if we can accept your donation. Additionally, consider if you are eligible for any tax incentives by donating the furniture, and discuss this with the foundation if applicable. Finally, make sure to keep track of any receipts or documentation for your donation for your records.
Step 3
Coordinate the logistics of the donation. If items are to be picked up, provide us with accurate information regarding the pickup date, time, and location. If items are to be dropped off, ask us where and when you can bring the furniture. Make sure to follow any guidelines or restrictions we have given, such as disassembling large furniture or cleaning it beforehand. Lastly, confirm the details of the donation with the foundation to ensure a smooth and successful transfer.
